This is a vintage shell shaped silver butterdish with a frosted glass insert and a knife. It has a little handle on the back to open it with. The butterdish is 5" wide and stands on three little feet on the bottom.
The knife is Sheffield silverplate and I added it to the butterdish because it didn't have one. It has pretty scrolling on it and works perfect with the dish. Both pieces are in excellent condition.
Any white or bright spots are from the light and my camera flash.
